Adverse weather information

The University is fully open with all activities taking place as normal.

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for snow across much of the UK, including Worcester, from 6pm on Thursday 8th January until midday on Friday 9th January. There is also an amber warning for heavier snow between 8pm on Thursday and 9am on Friday.

The University’s practice is to remain open during adverse weather, including snow. In recent years the University has invested in snow-clearing equipment, which helps Campus Services teams to clear pathways on campus quickly and efficiently.

If conditions are poor, please ensure that you travel safely and take all sensible precautions. If you are driving, you may wish to consider where your car is parked overnight (avoiding steep drives, for example) and try to wait until the roads have been gritted. There is some general guidance on road travel in wintery conditions on the  website and on the .
