Planning ahead is essential when applying to university. Below you’ll find the key dates and deadlines for undergraduate applications, including when to apply for Student Finance and accommodation.
Key application dates

2 September 2025 – UCAS applications for 2026 entry open.
Start your application early to give yourself plenty of time to prepare your personal statement and references.

14 January 2026 (6:00 PM UK time) – UCAS equal consideration deadline.
Submit your application by this date for the best chance of receiving offers from your chosen universities.
- 31 January 2026 - We guarantee to consider your application if you apply by 31 January.

Late February 2026 – UCAS Extra opens.
If you’ve used all five choices and are not holding any offers, UCAS Extra allows you to apply for additional courses.

6 May 2026 – UCAS “Decline by Default” deadline.
If you have recieved all decisions by 31 March, you must reply to your offers by this date, or your application will be declined automatically.

3 June 2026 – Final date to reply to all decisions.
If you have received all decisions by 13 May, you must respond to your offers by this date, or your application will be declined automatically.

30 June 2026 (6:00 PM UK time) – UCAS application deadline.
Applications submitted after this date will automatically enter Clearing.

2 July 2026 – UCAS Clearing opens.
Clearing is your chance to find a place if you haven’t secured one yet.

13 August 2026 – A-Level Results Day.
Update Student Finance if your university or course changes.

Late August 2026 – Deadline for meeting offer conditions.
Ensure all exam results and documents are submitted by this point.

24 September 2026 – Final date for 2026 entry applications.
Student Finance application dates

February/March 2026 – Applications to Student Finance England open.
Apply early to make sure your funding is in place before your course starts. You don’t need a confirmed place to apply.

April–June 2026 – Deadlines for Student Finance applications vary by region.
Apply as soon as possible to avoid delays.
Accommodation application dates

19 January – Accommodation applications open.

5 June – Apply by this date to guarantee university-managed accommodation.
Accommodation is allocated on a first-come-first-served basis, so it’s important that you apply early for the best chance at getting your preferred accommodation.
Key dates for international students

2 September 2025 - Applications for 2026 entry open.
As part of your application, you will be required to upload your documentation, including passport scans and English language requirements (e.g. IELTS), before your Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) can be issued.

February 2026 onwards - Successful applicants will be sent a link to CAS Shield
You will then be able to upload documents and information for our Visa and Admissions teams to check.

April 2026 onwards – CAS letters issued for visa applications.
Please apply for your visa within 24 hours of receiving your CAS

1 June 2026 – Tuition fee deposits due.
You will find the deposit amount outlined in your offer letter.
